Navigating the struggles of life through authentic connection

About

Kendra

MSW, RSW

(she/her)

In a world that is full of pressures and expectations, we can co-create a space that is grounded, collaborative, and inquisitive. I believe that connection can be profoundly restorative and transformative and I aim to help you feel comfortable and genuinely heard. I work with all peoples (18+) of all identities who are ready to dive into meaningful conversations. I specialize in sex therapy and trauma therapy and work with individuals and couples. I obtained my MSW from Wilfrid Laurier in 2015 and am a Certified Sex Therapist with the Association of Sex Therapist in Ontario (ASTO). Whether you're navigating struggles in relationships, in your sex life, with your body, or the impact of past harm, we can work together to find clarity and empowerment. Using lenses of anti-oppression, social justice and intersectional feminism and with awareness of my experience as a white, straight, cis woman of settler heritage, I celebrate the diversity of all identities and the intricate beauty of community. I am dedicated to the ongoing work of deconstructing oppressive systems and creating more security for all living things. I welcome all aspects of humanity in my work. That includes honouring and valuing the role that spirituality and meaning making can play in the healing process. Conversations about existential meaning are always welcome and I readily explore the impact of both connection and disconnection from religion. I also believe in the power of laughter, joy, celebration and humour in the journey of wellness. Ultimately, I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to be ourselves, brave enough to look inward, and supported enough to try something new. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you as you do this work.

Individual therapy offers a space to turn inward — to get curious about your inner world, your patterns, and your story. If you're feeling stuck, disconnected, or like something in your life is asking to shift, this work can help you make sense of what's underneath the surface. I support clients who are ready to do deeper emotional and relational work: unpacking old wounds, challenging inner narratives, and moving toward greater alignment with their values and sense of self. Together, we create a space that is compassionate, reflective, and brave enough for meaningful transformation.

Our world is full of confusing and contradictory messages about sex, sexuality, and our bodies. The truth is, there are infinite possibilities which can feel both liberating and overwhelming. I support my clients in slowing down and reflecting on their experiences, values, and desires around sex and relationships. Together, we explore what feels authentic and meaningful, so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

Relationships can be one of the most beautiful parts of life and sometimes the most challenging. Every couple has their own unique dynamic, and even the strongest connections can benefit from support. I work with couples to slow down, reconnect, and have deeper, more meaningful conversations. Together, we explore patterns, build understanding, and develop tools to navigate the inevitable bumps in the road with greater care, clarity, and compassion.

I respect and celebrate the diversity of all peoples and am committed to the work of supporting and creating inclusive communities. I acknowledge that I will have ongoing blind spots and humbly and gratefully receive knowledge and challenge from those with insight and perspective beyond my own. With the value of reciprocity, I commit to my ongoing learning by accessing resources that expand my affirmative practice.

As someone of settler heritage, I acknowledge that I live and work on the stolen lands of the HaudenosauneeHuron-WendatAnishinabek, and Mississauga First Nations. I commit myself the to the work of reconciliation and decolonization and celebrating and advocating for the First Nations communities I share space with.
